Job Description
Linux Systems Engineer – RHCE – Financial Services – Scripting – Shell/Puppet/Satellite
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading financial services organisation in London. I am looking for an experience Linux professional to join this exciting project.
Essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge and experience of RedHat Linux. RHCE certification (please provide your
- certificate number).
- Excellent working knowledge of many Scripting languages including sh, Perl and python.
- Working knowledge of Satellite or Spacewalk and puppet.
- Sound knowledge of server hardware including HP G5, G6, G7, blade and server
- Experience of running linux virtual guests on VMWare.
- Understanding of general networking concepts
- Analytical and Diagnostic skills.
- Professional and proactive manner when interacting with all project sponsors, users and technical
- staff.
- Experience of implementation and change management processes.
- Prepared to be flexible with the work requested and willing to learn new skills.
- Experience of HP Tools configuration and administration skills including iLO.
- Knowledge of RAID configurations
